I moved into The Village at East Cobb in June 2006. The space was great and they had plenty of amenities and great schools. Little did I know that there was rampant crime going on in the community. Break ins, car damage etc. Management was aware of these situations and failed to inform current residents to be cautious. Additional lighting was requested in the community, as there are numerous dark areas. Residents were told by staff that the community was for sale and that management would not spend any money due to the pending sale. The lights were out at the mail center for 5 months. For those who check their mail at night you were taking your life into your own hands. The trash area was constantly piled high. The Maintenance Supervisor did his best. They refused to get him help due to the sale. The back pool was constantly closed, so the people who liked in the back could not enjoy the amenity that was close to them. Dryers in the front laundry room NEVER dry. The beautiful pool at the office is constantly covered with obnoxious children that are unsupervised and unruly. Due to the pending sale they loaded up the property with undesirable residents. People were allowed to move in with HUGE dogs that had no business being in the community. I witnessed 3 drug deals right near the playground in broad daylight. Management did not care. My neighbors have been counting the days until they can get out of this place. I guess you do get what you pay for. Spend a little more and move elsewhere.
