My boyfriend and I moved into this complex in Nov. 07. After months of looking we decided on this complex because it was close to our friends and family yet it was out of the way enough to not hear traffic and such. I requested a first floor apt as I was having back surgery in Jan 08 and didn't want to have to climb stairs until after the surgery. We were in the apartment for less then 2 weeks when I went to the office to complain about several things. One of the toilets ran constantly and wobbled when you sat down, paint was coming off the wall in several places and our ceiling leaked anytime the people above us used their shower/bath. I also complained about the amount of noise that we heard from upstairs. I'm not joking when I say it sounds like they were using the apartment as a bowling alley. Things crashing into the walls doors slamming and people walking (their apartment has to be 4times as large as ours because it takes about 300 steps for them to get from one end to the other). You couldn't close the doors to the bedrooms because when the people upstairs moved around our doors would shake in their frames. I've lived in apartments before and have never had this problem, even with living on the first floor of other complexes. Well the office said they would send a letter, I was grateful. Well after a few days the noise was still awful, we starting trying to band on the ceiling to let them know they were being noisy. About 2 weeks after we moved in I was ready to move out. One night when we went out to dinner we came home to the ceiling in our bathroom pouring down water. I called the emergency line and it took them almost 2 hours to get here. Since then I have complained several more times about noise and things falling apart, and the response I get is - you need to talk to the neighbors yourself, there's nothing we can do. When we moved in we had to sign an agreement stating that we would be considerate of our neighbors and keep the noise level down. Guess this rule only applies to certain people. The staff act like your a problem and give you the feeling as if you are bothering them. We will be moving as soon as we find something different, even we the penalties, it is worth a nights sleep without someone trying to punch holes in the floor above you. The do have a couple types of apts, some of them newly remodeled but the one were in is 21years old, the sales person kept reminding us of this fact.

I see that they changed the name of the complex but the same problems are still there -- management that is good for NOTHING! = I had the same problem - on the first floor and noise from upstairs and other neighbors with radios sooooooooo loud - they sent someone over to listen and he told he me actually lost his hearing during the war - no offense but this is who management sends. So sorry to hear about this issue - hope this warns others against the place. Is Ellen still the manager -- she didn't do anything when I lived there either - just hide in her office.
