My place was repeatedly broken into as was several others in my building. I guess that's why no one re-signs leases here and/or is let out of their leases. I asked for the property's assistance in securing my apartment and got no response other than call the police and all the police said was move! Finally, I contacted the corporate office and spoke with the Corporate Property Manager, who in turn asked if she had spoken to me before, you can see my concern when I realized this story was familiar to her. She had heard this before, wow!!! Obviously, I wasn't the first one and wouldn't be the last! I finally put my belongings in storage and moved into a hotel just to get out of there! Now they won't give me my final bill without putting the screws to me and charging me for a door that was broken trying to put a lock on it to secure my apartment, which was waived by the corporate property manager, unbelievable. I was let out of my lease so that I could move by the corporate property manager and told a figure of $178. Now my bill is fundred and something, which is outrageous, I won't let them bully me!!! I will pay for the trash that was outside my door that I couldn't fit in my car (although I think $100 is a little steeep) and my pro-rated rent of $178 but the other figures you are throwing in is not appropriate and you are trying to bully me into it.
