I moved into a ground floor 1 bedroom here in 2001 and at first everything was fine. The rent amount was good at less than $600 and things were pretty quiet. Later, some neighbors moved in and I noticed how I could literally hear every footstep upstairs. Sometimes at 2am they seemed to jump off the bed and hit the floor right over my head as I tried to sleep! I know the staff can't control what people do in their own apartments, but I sure wished there was better sound insulation to the construction! Later, the ants moved into my bathroom until I just got used to bathing with a few of them every night..All the while the overall vibe of the place was getting more and more dangerous. I watched a teenage boy try to get into my car to steal a laptop. I called and left a voicemail for security and got no response. There was a small mob of teens that were often standing around bored, and then started breaking things for fun and fighting among themselves. I saw a group of what looked like gang members in their colors talking in front of the next building and looking for someone who had recently moved out. There were gunshots and screaming behind my building. By the time I moved out, Promove had found a 2bd,2ba for me for less than $570. It's by the river in a very upscale East Cobb area. I still can't believe my luck and I was glad to leave P Ridge. I have no hard feelings for the staff. What's funny is, the reviews for my new apartment complex are a LOT worse than the ones for this one!
