It does not take long to figure out that the cheap rent at Plantation Ridge does not mean you have low living expenses overall.

Marietta Power charged ridiculous rates and the apartments are miserably inefficient. I am not sure the apartment I was in had the a/c unit serviced in the last ten years.The a/c units are noisy! Maintenance always showed up but never seemed to be capable of repairing anything without multiple trips.

Keep in mind most of this complex was built around 1972. So whatever you aren't paying in rent you are sure to pay in electric or water.

When we were gone all day to work we came home to our apartment smelling very old and like whatever the neighbors cooked or smoked.

The bugs outnumber the residents and will continue to because of the expanse of pine trees. The landscape is nice at the entrance but nonexistant otherwise. The soil run-off into the parking lot is caused because of poor landscape. Then residents track this into the interiors of their cars. Fun.

Water---The people around my family paid the same for water as I did but had many more people in their apartments. I guess it pays not to have everyone on the lease. Since the water is not individually metered, you have no hope of paying reasonable rates. My average water bill was more than triple what any of my family and friends pay for their houses in Marietta.

The lighting in the parking lots at night was a joke. Take a ride through there at night, you will see.

The mailbox area is virtually inaccessible because everyone who plays tennis parks there instead.

The trash bin for all residents is at the focal point of the entrance drive, how attractive. It always overflowed on weekends.

Office staff is useless, dont give a maintenance request to them unless you want it ignored or botched. They couldn't even seem to return phone calls.

Too many kids wandering, underage smoking, loud music, cruisers and people zooming through.

Big square footage- sure-. Be smart and just say no.
