First of all, I'm gonna level with you. I've never actually lived in Plantation Ridge, not formally and not for more than a day or so at a time, but my girlfriend who I've been seeing for almost 1.5 years does and, as such, I can personally affirm every single bad thing you've read about this joint to be 100% true.
On at least three occasions I've driven into the complex and been greeted by a mix and match combo of police cars, fire trucks and ambulances. One time I turned my car radio to 750 AM just in time to hear some variant of "Police are investigating a shooting at the Plantation Ridge apartments in Marietta."
The staff of Plantation Ridge are less than useless. As best I can tell they just blithely lie to people to get them to sign that lease. They take the tenants' money and then they treat them worse than George W. Bush treats hurricane victims. They passive aggressively ignore maintainence requests. They agree with you, say they'll take care of it and nothing happens...EVER.
You'd spend less time waiting for Godot than you would waiting for one of these cats to so much as pick up a screwdriver in the name of getting something productive done for a Plantation Ridge tenant. However, I will admit that they are ruthlessly efficient at driving a golf cart around their little fifedom in matching polo shirts leaving assorted notices on peoples' doors. That seems to be their single most marketable skill.
I'm trying to figure out a way to get my girlfriend out of here. For God's sake, don't let yourself be the one who rents her former apartment or any apartment in Plantation Ridge. You'd be better off living in your car.
