I lived at Plantation Ridge for 2 years. (2 years too long). The management has changed so many times I have lost count. The office staff needs training on customer service. I have never seen such poor service. I had numerous work orders that were never addressed. I placed many of them at the beginning of my lease and and as of my move out date, they still had not been addressed. The office staff contacted me on numerous occasions to say they did not have a key to my apartment, but eveyday when I came home someone had been in my apartment going through the closets, using my computer and my restroom. I notified the office and was told that it could not be the staff. They simply ignored my complaint and concern of someone entering my apartment, using my things, and above all my safety.
The noise level was unbearable. The gangs hanging out all over the complex smoking weed and using profanity was a daily thing. The office never seamed to care since they did not live there. The police were called on numerous occasions by several residents. My car tag was stolen off my car while parked outside my apartment in broad daylight.
In light of the numerous fires in the complex, you would think the office would be concerned about the faulty wiring, smoking dishwashers and circuit breakers. Although I had a three bedroom apartment, I could only use one outlit per room as any other usage would cause all of the power to go off.
If you are thinking about moving to Plantation Ridge, please think again. Yes, the apartments are big, but trust me, it's not worth the aggrevation you will have. If you want to live in the ghetto, then this is the place for you. It has all the amenities of ghetto living at it's best.

WOW, I moved out of Plantation Ridge myself at the beginning of the year, after living there since June 2005. I broke out of my lease because of the safety issues, I was having as well. Your comment below...
"In light of the numerous fires in the complex, you would think the office would be concerned about the faulty wiring, smoking dishwashers and circuit breakers. Although I had a three bedroom apartment, I could only use one outlit per room as any other usage would cause all of the power to go off."
You would think they would care, but they don't seem to. My power would go off as well when I would blow dry my hair or vacuum the floor. That's not normal I complained about it as well, I had a lot of electrical issues and my apt the pipes busted underneath and soaked my hallway floor. Not a safe environment to live in with your family. So, I wrote a letter to the manager of Plantation Ridge, Corportate office in Chicago and the fire Marshall of Cobb County. I advise all residents to do the same so this problem will be address. They need to hear it from others, other then me. So, they will see that it is a problem and it's just not a couple of residents complaining. I was able to break my lease without any penalties, put in a hotel until I moved all paid by PR, and they refunded me my deposits. PR would not have paid for me to stay in a hotel or refund me my deposits if I had not wrote that letter. Pretty much they just wanted to get rid of me! They didn't want any problems, the manager was very upset I wrote those letters and sent it to all I sent it too. I mean if your upset be upset about the living conditions people are living in, that are not safe and do something about it!! Had I not wrote that letter I would have had to pay for breaking my lease and pay my rent until my lease was expired or someone else rented my apartment according to the Manager at the time. Luckily I was smart and wrote a letter!!! So, you do the same if you experiencing issues within this community that haven't been resolved!!! Here are the people I sent my letter to...the same letter just sent to numerous people including the PR staff.
