I want everyone to know first of all that I was one of the people who read the reviews prior to moving in and thought I could have a different experience. I should have known somegthing was wrong when they gave me the run around about the apartment completion date. At that point, I should have just moved into the complex two knocks away and paid a little more money. However since I bullied them into getting that right, I thought everything would be fine from there on in. These are the fun facts you should know:
*The staff members are unprofessional and not empathetic to any of your housing issues!
*There is only one trash compactor for the whole complex and trust me this complex is huge!
*The staff must be volunteers because they never answer the phone, never return messages, and never work the business hours that are listed near the door!
*You have to purchase a $5 card to use the laundry room and the machine will only except $5,$10, and $20 bills!
*On site security'
*Gym is not always accessible from 10am-10pm as they tell you.
*They are the water company and use a third party (NWP) to do billing only. If there's a problem with your water speak with the leasing office!
*There has been no water in the entire complex for 24 hours.. do you want to live here'
*The bug/insect/creature/critter issue is real! And yes folks I keep a clean house!

People are not taking the time out to be mean; we are simply trying to make sure that the people who work here are not continuing to make money off of hardworking people and then neglect them. Most of the people I know in this community are working-class people or college students. There are some riff raff, but they are not the community! Don't let these people sell you the dream, because that is all it is...a dream! Like momma said "If it sounds too good to be true...." You get the picture!

They did apologize for the water thing. Usually they're pretty good about letting the residents know ahead of time if water will be out and exactly how long that will be. As for getting maintenance needs met I've found the quickest way to get work done is to follow exactly what the Lease says. 1. I physically hand them my request in writing; 2. after 24 hrs I call and remind them that if a maintenance need is not acknowledged within 24 hours then I am entitled to a free day of rent and could they please calculate what my rent will be. 3. if that doesn't work, i go to equityapartments.com and go over their head. every single time i've gone to the website to express my concerns, my requests were completed within 30 minutes.

For the Anonymous responder to the original post: Why should you have to go through so many steps to get maintenance to do their job. The first request should be enough. That sounds like poor service. A confirmation that this may be a crazy place to live.

anonymous, you should be concerned about the communities problems, stop waisting time in front of the computer writing B.S. and get back to the leasing office to do what you are supposed to do... WORK!

LMAO! That was too funny. When I read anon's message I figured they were someone from the office. Wtf are they really talking about? It's funny how majority doesn't even live in Plantation Ridge.
