New rules as of this month include paying full market price for the apartment rental if you're late at all on a rent payment or do not include the gas bill in with the rent payment (they don't consider the rent paid if you don't pay gas at the same time) and tags on vehicles to try to catch unauthorized visitors.

I've been at this apartment complex for a year and a half now. My first lease wasn't so bad. There weren't too many issues with the apartment and they were fairly quick to deal with them. Then in 2004 I moved to a larger two-bedroom place and the headaches began.

Cockroach problems like you cannot imagine, no matter how clean the place was kept, damaged toilets, hot water heater, oven, and fridge.. we'd had to call them six or seven times to get anything done on the toilet issues. You have to keep on maintainance to get ANYTHING done.

There have been several cars broken into since I've gotten here. A friend of mine had his windows smashed and radio stolen, in fact. Security is pretty much non-existant.

The apartments themselves aren't all that good. My ceiling has had a lot of patchwork on it, several of the closet doors were put on incorrectly with the handle towards the middle rather than the end.

About the only thing I can say that's really good about this place is that they have reasonable rent prices and pretty good office staff.
