I moved into Ridge Pointe in August 2007 to finish out my fiance's lease. Thank God we are moving out in a week!!! This has been the worst place I have every lived! When I first moved in I would occasionally see a roach, maybe once a week. Since I have never in my life had roaches I thought this was disgusting enough - little did I know this was just the beginning. Now we have a roach infestation! I loved to cook but have given up because they come out anytime I try to cook. We keep our place pretty clean and I just can't understand why it is so bad. They have pest control but it just doesn't seem to have an impact.

Recently, we've also heard things running back and forth in the ceiling (we live on the top floor). I'm not sure what they are some type of rodent - we have made numerous complaints and nothing has been done. One recent Sunday we heard somthing fall into our chimney - we closed the flue so it wouldn't get into the apartment. It proceeded to try to claw its way into the apartment. The noise of claws on metal is not comforting. When we called to have someone take care of we were told maintenance did not work on Sundays - so we had to just listen to it try to make its way into our apartment. It was quite unsettling. I can only conclude now that it is dead and in the chimney.

When maitenance does agree to fix something it takes SEVERAL requests to get them to do it. We had a refrigerator on which the door did not properly close causing all the food to spoil very quickly for 3 months!!! We called every couple of days and we would always hear that they would take care of by the end of the week.

Last month I used the night drop box for my rent check and they lost my check for a week. Instead of calling us and telling us we needed to pay rent they posted a huge red notice on our door threatening to evict us!! We've never been late before and this was the way they treated us. When I told them I put the check in their night drop box they didn't believe me. I had to write out a new check and they made it seem like they were doing me a favor by not adding on late fees. Later that day they magically found the original check.

The gate situation is out of control. A couple months back they decided to "fix" the gate and give out gate cards. On more than one occasion the gate has broke and you cannot get in. Neither the gatecards nor the call-box would work. It took me 20 minutes just to get in - because I had to race in the exit gate.

It's your decision but I would highly advise not moving into these apartments. It's a nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
