Hi. I am moving out of Apartment 2101-H this weekend, and I would not recommend the River Apartments to a roach (plenty of them live there already!!). Since we moved in last year, we have had problem after problem after problem. Our main problem is/was with maintenance. I've had my bathroom ceiling flooded three times now (from a leak in the apartment above) and the only thing that they do is poke a hole in the ceiling to drain the water and then paint over it. My ceiling turned into a canvas of mold and mildew- their solution- paint over it! I mean why not...out of sight, out of mind, right' WRONG!!! I have spoken with the manager (Liz Herrington) on several accounts and she could give a care less about our dissatisfaction or our health for that matter. I warn you now... if you don't know someone who knows how to fix things and can be your maintenance person, do not plan on ever having anything fixed at this place. They will continue to "paint over it" until the buildings fall down. The one and only positive thing that I can say about this complex is the location. You are 15 minutes from just about everywhere in metro-Atlanta. There are a few grocery stores close by, as well as an elementary school, but I don't know about any other schools. If you move here, don't expect Liz Herrington to give a crap about you or your apartment... also don't let this place tell you that you can't have a satellite dish. The FCC has a regulation that makes it ILLEGAL to keep residents from having a satellite dish. Do a Google search if you are interested in learning more on that subject.

Also, I just read another review below and the maintenance guys leaving two keys in their apartment. This happened to us too! Maintenance was installing our fire extinguisher (which we had to ask for, b/c there was not one in the apartment when we moved in) and when I got home from work, I found a set of keys in our kitchen sink. I brought them back to the office, and they acted like it was no big deal. ''' Beware! And don't say that you haven't been warned!
