I've read a number of reviews and agree with most of them. Break-ins terrible! Gate being broken most of the time is a big issue. No details of break-ins. Black bugs getting inside all the time! I do have problems with roaches. I was assured parking would not be an issue, but get here after 6 or 7 and your lucky to find a parking spot period, without having to go two or three buildings down. The walls are in fact paper thin and you can hear everything up stairs. The employees in the front office are never the same. Lots of small things that add up quick!

I will tell you what I think is the worst thing I have heard about this place. One of my neighbors made a reply to a comment that another resident wrote to this site. He then got a call from the new office manager at that time who threatened him with not renewing his lease because he just simply exercised his right to make a complaint on this website. That manager was trying to take away his right to freedom of speech and the right to complain by threatening him with putting him out for voicing his opinion of conditions at the River Apts. What she had done was basically blackmailed him for agreeing with what another resident had written about the things wrong here at the River Preserve. When the resident replied to her he hadn't done anything except voice his opinion and she just couldn't throw him out without cause she replied she could throw him out anytime she wanted even though he was and is a model resident. When I heard this from him I couldn't believe someone in her position would threaten a customer/resident like that for voicing their opinion, unbelievable. That was the last management company and as of March 28, 2008 we have a new management company who owns this place, let???s hope their people don???t threaten the residents like the last company did and also make this place better but I???m not holding my breath. Oh yes, the comments that were just made by the other resident are all correct.
