Spacious rooms in corner apartments
From: nyctea@bellsouth.netDate posted: 4/3/2003
Years at this apartment: 1998 - 1998
Back when this building was called Le Parc, I had a place on the sixth floor. It was a three bedroom, 2 bath, large balcony, great view of Marietta, nice office staff, garaged parking, ample lighting, indoor hallways leading to your apartment and garbage chutes. The only drawback was there was not enough washers and dryers for the floor for those of us who did not have a washer and dryer (though the apartments did have plug-ins). There were always long lines at any time of the day. The hallways were well insulated on the seventh floor, but poorly insulated on the other floors. You can easily hear what is going on in other people?s places.
The carpet they use is very cheap, and it came off on the cats very easily. Anything you put down would become covered in carpet fibers in a matter of minutes. Not good for allergies!
The living room, being at a corner of the building, had large windows on two of the four walls. It was gorgeous!
The only real problem was the garaged parking. The elevators will put you ill at ease. This is probably because the area is dingy, wall-to-wall concrete and some easy-to-hide places. You need a passcode to get in the elevator area, but the flourescent lighting gives it the B-rated horror film look.
