I've read through the various reviews and decided it only fair that I post my own. I have lived at Wood Hollow since February of 2006 and actually just renewed my lease for a year through September of 2007. I have lived in various parts of town and various apartment complexes, including Plantation Ridge in Marietta, Greenhouse in Kennesaw, and Powers Ferry Place in Marietta. I honestly feel that this complex has been my favorite out of all. There has been a change in management staff and I feel that this is a good thing. The leasing manager is trying to 'clean up' and make the complex a lot nicer for residents. Notices have been sent out to residents with rules regulating what you keep on your patio-for appearance purposes. There's nothing worse than driving through a community and seeing someone's laundry hanging on their patio. Management has stated that this is not allowed and changes have been made to make the place a community everyone will be proud to come home to. The complex is comprised of a good mix of residents, along with a good mix of different cultures. I really like living here. If you have a problem with hearing someone walking above you, then plan ahead and get a top floor apartment when you move in. Maintenance issues are addressed and resolved very quickly and there is great follow through to make sure your problems have been fixed. A community newsletter has been established and different events like movie night have been started to bring people together. My only major request to management when I completed my resident survey was that more lighting be put throughout the complex. I have not had a problem with being harassed by any other tenants while walking my dogs throughout the complex and I am a 28 year old female that lives alone. There are a lot of places right down Powers Ferry that are quite scary, so Wood Hollow is definitely a hidden treasure.

I move in July 2006, for the most part of your review I can understand not wanting to see tenants laundry. However I have a MAJOR issue in my apartment... ROACHES. I signed my lease on a weekday and moved in over the weekend. While I was waiting for the cable install on the day that I signed my lease, I killed 25 of them! I immediately reported this to the office, four months later I am still dealing with them. Management says them are making efforts to correct this, but it feels totally different for the tenant who is living with this day in and day out. Management acts as if they are doing me a favor by having my counter rebuilt (damaged due to water leak), which has nothing to do with the roach infestation. My refrigerator had to be replaced because of the infestation. I hope that this new management will get their act together soon. I just don't feel the need to renew my lease. It doesn't feel like home to me.
