I have lived here since April. Anyone who suggests that this is just 1 step up from Section 8 has never driven thru a true Section 8 property (like you would see in Riverdale). Yes, I am dissapointed with many of the residents who are allowed to reside here. I don't understand the gated entry when you don't screen who lives inside the gates. Most residents like myself paid no application fee, or security deposit. Who did you think that would attract'

However, the rent is very reasonable (which is why we have some of these problems). I have had a few minor problems with a light fixture. I think Ken is very nice and responsive, although it may take two or three attempts to fix the problem. Honestly I don't have much experience with the office staff. I pay my rent on time and don't expect them to do much else for me.

My new neighbors in #910 seem to think they live in a fraternity house on the weekends. This is becoming a problem that may require action, but for now I am not loosing any sleep over it. There are too many dogs, and there are some residents who are too lazy to walk their trash to the compactor.

Here's how I look at it. If you must have everything, move to a property where the rents start $100 to $150 more than here. If you can put up with the occasional headache to save some money it's pretty nice. If the $20 water bill is breaking the bank, find an apartment in Clayton County and then compare that property to The Crossing. You will see the difference.
