Where do I start...We have lived here for approx. 5 months. First problem was our first months rent. All we owed was the proration of the previous month. Well we received a letter from the sherriff about being evicted due to non payment.
Problem #2: ANTS!!!! They were all over my bathroom. Not once--not twice but three times within a two week period. I bleached the bathtub and the floor, so then they moved to the top of the wall. The next time they were in my bedroom, coming in from the outlet by my night stand. The third time was this week...I got up and made myself breakfast, ran a few errands and came back home. By this time my significant other was up literally tearing up the kitchen to find the root of all the ants. It wasnt just a few, it was HUNDREDS! All over the sink, dishes, countertops, cabinets! Last but not least, this morning. I was double checking the kitchen to make sure no more ants we there and low and behold, there they were in my laundry room! We have told the office about this and the exterminator has come to spray.
Problem #3: We rent a garage here. We were going down there to put holiday stuff away we were able to open the door but once we were finished the door would not close. Up to the office yet again.....they gave us a key. We thought we locked it but when we pulled the key out the locking device came out with it. Supposedly the garage repair man came out and since our door wasnt up, he thought it was fixed. That happened twice! Why would we leave the door up with all our stuff in it' Then they gave us another garage. Luckily we didnt moved our stuff out because when we opened the door there was a car in it! So on to garage #3. We were kinda upset b/c its halfway on the other side of the complex. But still thankful we were getting another one to keep our belongings safe. The door open there was a huge hole in the back wall. It almost looked like a compact car forgot to put on the brake! Just rediculous!
Problem #4: My brother in law was staying here one night and he wanted to leave but b/c I was at work and my husband was hunting no one was here to give him the key. He didnt feel comfortable leaving the door unlocked, so he locked both locks and jumped off the balcony. Once my husband got home and couldnt open the door he called the police and the maintenace man to come let him in. He was not able to get in b/c he couldnt prove that he had a residency here. He had to pull his truck up by the balcony and climb over. The maintenance men are a joke. We moved our washer and dryer in and needed a different adapter for the dryer. We went to Home Depot after 2 days had past and no word on weather they would put it in or not. Its a good thing to because we would still be waiting. I am frustrated because I am paying to live comfortably and I dont feel as if I am. Another problem we had is they came in to check the smoke detector, took the battery out but never replaced it, so it would beep constantly. We fixed that too. We have neighbors who own a dog and when they are not home it barks constantly. I am surprised the thing isnt horse. We were excited about this place when we moved in now we regret it and will do more research before something like this happens again.
