I remember years ago when this was 'the place to live'. After moving back to McDonough from Alpharetta, we decided to rent for 6 months while looking for a house. What a mistake. Our first issue was upon move in. We asked repeatedly for the place to be cleaned before we moved in because it was disgusting and ended up having to hire our own cleaners, because I wouldn't move my family in with the place in that condition. In the nine month span we lived there, people were shot outside of our building and one of our neighbors, in our same building was killed. We talked to management about cancelling our lease because of this and were told that even if we moved buildings, we'd face many fees and such. We decided to wait it out and high tail it away from there. We then get a letter last month (july) that was dated April (we moved out in March)from a CREDIT COMPANY stating that we owed $155 for move out fees. Um, we never had a move in check like we were supposed to, OR a move out check. Then we don't even get a letter from Preston Creek, it comes from a credit company!! How bad could it have been when we moved out, if we paid over $200 of our own money to have the place cleaned BEFORE we moved IN'!' We are currently debating with the credit company about what REALLY happened. This place is a hole. Especially bad if you have children of any age. It's become McDonough's ghetto, which is a real disappointment. I have already talked a few friends and family members out of moving in here. Go live in Forest Park if you're thinking about this place. You'll be better off. Not to mention, we always had to park two buildings over because of people 'visiting' all day and night. Neighbors in their 20's parked in the handicapped spots because they're too lazy to walk. We were assaulted in the parking lot by someone that we refused to let pull in the ALWAYS broken gate behind us. There's nothing keeping out the trailer park people. Our car exterior of our cars was destroyed, because no one cared about anyone else's property. We lived under a bunch of -------- that would blare the stereo all night and then deny it and say they didn't speak any English when the courtesy officer went up there (with 8 of them living there, you'd think one of them would). Carpet cleaners would come and clean at 11pm-2am and the courtesy officers wouldn't even call back about this. I could go on and on......

I have been a resident of Preston Creek for two years and I am apalled by the fact that digrutled former residents trash the place where my children and I live. I feel that this is slander due to the fact that most of the things i read are not true. I'm so sorry if you found a house or for whatever reason you needed to break your lease but dont take your anger out on the rest of us. This is most certainly not the getto, in fact I love it here! nobody was killed here, do your research and get the facts. I love how nice the staff is and how quick they handle problems here. If you want to know the truth ask residents like me who live here, not angry formers who didnt get what they want!

Just so you know, there was a guy killed there (read the local paper), a guy beaten up and hospitalized (was on the news), a ladies car was shot at while she was driving through the complex to her apartment, drug dealers and not to mention anyone can just pull up at the front office and enjoy the ammenities you are paying for!!! Maybe you should do your research and get your facts straight!

First of all, I lived in Preston Creek for two years. They were always having events for residents like movies outside on a big screen, hosting parties for boxing matches and movies, doing carwashes, even gave us breakfast on our way out of the WORKING gate every day one week. I happen to know the guy that was killed there, and it had nothing to do with poor security. It was two visiting non residents that attacked the person they were visiting and he died as result of the attack. Was unfortunate and could have happened anywhere and had nothing to do with that complex. When I lived there, the people in the office were very nice, I only had one maintainence problem in 2 years, and when I did, I called the office that morning on my way to work and when I got home, it had been fixed. I know people who work for carpet cleaning companies, and they don't even go to apartments after like 8pm unless it is an emergency. 2nd, people could NOT just pull up and use the amenities, unless they had their own resident card to scan at the door! Had I not bought my own house I would still be living at there. I have been to every complex in henry county and preston creek is the nicest by far.
