I recently moved out of Lakeside. I lived there for 2 years in Phase 1. Phase 1 should really be torn down and rebuilt...the walls are very thin! If you live on the bottom floor, it's even worse, you can hear every footstep and door slamming from the top, also the ceiling fan shakes everytime someone from the above apartment walks. There was a huge ant problem that seemed to come from just anywhere...it started in the pantry and ended up in the kitchen. Maintenance was very poor here. My dishwasher didn't work for over 3 months, nor did my dryer dry a load of clothes in less than 3 cycles. The gates never worked there, ok well maybe for the first few weeks of moving in which was in 2001, but after that I had no use for my remote. What was the point of paying such a high rent that included a "gated complex" when any Tom, ----, or Harry can walk right in. To me, it seemed like these were public housing facilities... The landscaping was not kept up with and it started looking like crap. I mean obviously the leasing consultants must have felt something bad also, otherwise why would there have been such a high turnaround' Every month in the newsletter, there seemed to be new leasing agents...every month' Come on, that itself would make you wonder. The kids always roamed the complex at night, and of course they weren't quiet at it... Heaven forbid you plan to sleep at night. I do NOT recommend these apartments for anyone, not even my worst enemy. Other new apartments are now in Newnan, and they are the same prices as Lakeside and they are completely BRAND NEW!!! It's wonderful at these apartment homes, haven't had a restless night of sleep yet!
