We lived in Lakeside for almost 2 years. The gates worked maybe 1 month the whole time. People come and go anyone can get in at all hours. They sell the gated complex but it's a facade. If you ask about the gates working they always have the parts on order. Upon leaving they zap you with outlandish charges no matter how clean the apartment is and if you call the regional offices you never get a call back, so don't waste your breath calling. Drugs are a big problem but be careful if you have teenagers, all teenagers are assumed to be doing drugs even if they are innocent. Management is unseen and unheard except for rent collection. They will be nice to your face and appear to care and then zap you when you leave. I hated it! There was always a lot of traffic through the complex and a lot of strangers. No one stays long. Also, if you stay and you renew your lease, call anonomously and find out the going rate for the size apartment you are in. They will rope you into a lease charging at least $100 more a month than the current going rate if you let them...
