The management is lying that is. I had heard from people that we talked to that were walking around the complex when we were checking the place out. they did not recomend it and said they have never heard of anyone getting thier security deposit back. I helped a friend of mine move out after his short lease, we cleaned that whole apt spotless, even having the carpet cleaned. A person from the office came by for the inspection and said it looked cleaner than any she had checked out.But she could not sign it off because the manager who was not there that week had to do it. After he had moved out he got a letter saying he was losing his security deposit and owed them more money. He ignored them but they reported him to the credit agencies saying the reason for the charges was that the apt was in such bad shape they had to hire people to come and repair it. Did not look that way when we left. When they show you the apt they want to get you in and out quickly so you cannot spot anything wrong because once you move in and it is not noted on thier paperwork they are charging you for it. Their move in inspection time 10 minutes, move out inspection time 1 hour. There is no telling how much money they have stolen off of 1 spot in the carpet, resident after resident. The private company that the state of Georgia contracts to oversee apartment complexes must be owned by a company that has apartments because when I contacted them they were no help at all. When I did manage to get a copy of the state's landlord tennents act, it was not very uplifting. Everything in it is for the benefit of the complexes. See my reveiw on Preston Mill in Newnan, 30263
