Such a sad commentary exhibited by the top management person on site (currently a/o 5/2002) for the sanctity of human life!!!! My husband became quite ill while living on the 3rd floor of the 2nd phase of this complex. When I tried to relocate to another unit on the ground floor, the manager informed me that all deposits would have to be made AGAIN...PLUS payment of the full month of the apt we moved into plus the prorated amount to the date of move-out of the current unit...(please bear in mind that at that time the apt complex was running a special move-in price that was NOT available to anyone who ALREADY lived there...) The bottom line is that I couldn't afford to make the change. My husband died in April of this year stuck in the 3rd floor apt the last 2 weeks of his life unable to walk on the face of mother earth because his health became so frail he couldn't walk back up the stairs to the 3rd floor even if we managed to get him downstairs. The stairs are so narrow that we couldn't "carry" him down either!!!! Well...he finally got off the 3rd floor. He was carried by the funeral home from our apartment. I harbor severe resentment to the manager of Lakeside Apts. Not only was a lack of caring for her human brother apparent, she also failed numerous times to return one solitary phone call. She lied to my face stating that she had discussed "my cause" with "her bosses", but oddly enough could not even remember who I was or what I was there about the afternoon of this "pleading with her bosses" to make monetary arrangements for moving my husband to a bottom floor...She brags about having 4 daughters (I believe she says 4...)who she finally got moved out of her trailer and into a house, but doesn't want to live on-site with them because she doesn't want them anywhere near where she has to work...Indeed...a wonderful experience with dealing with the worst of the breed of a term I use loosely when I say..."human"
