Funny because no one bothered to mention the breakfast on the go that the staff gave for the residents and stood outside in 14 degree weather for, or the two pool parties that management has given, or the movie by the pool, or the fact that management hosted a resident meeting, or handed out ice pops or snacks to students getting off the buses after school several times. The management by the way is not new, as a matter of fact they have been in place for some time now and during that time Lakeside has seen many positive changes much of them recognized by true long term residents. What really kills me is that if you experience grass not being cut or some other issues that have been expressed REMEMBER the management is just that there are owners in place that have the CHECKBOOKS...management may not have the control you think they have. Some of the things that management has tried to do shows me they care and are not things PROJECTS or GHETTO or BAD MANAGERS do for residents!!! I just thought as a happy resident I would share this so people could be properly informed. Also the MURDER was a domestic issue so please stop going on as if someone wandered onto the property and killed someone. THIS COULD HAPPEN ANYWHERE! bYr9ljUwtCbMRXE8dRDC

I have to agree. Lakeside has gotten a bad rap due to unfair publicity. The murder was a murder/suicide between husband and wife not a random incident. Lakeside is not set up like other apartment communities, it is much larger with townhomes and 2 different phases of apartments. No, I do not work at Lakeside, I use to live there but own a home now. I work in property management and know that for the most part, the people on websites like these are only the ones unhappy, unfortunately the happy residents don't post messages. Hang in there Lakeside, it was a postive experience living there for me (I met my husband there and we have been married 4 years).

Lets talk about the management. Normally, the owners will set aside budget for the management to use. Then it it is up to the management to issue the payment of the serive provided. So if something is not getting done then if falls back on the management. The management has not been the same. When I first moved in, the everyone in the office was different. This new management has been in place for about little over a year. They may doing things for the community, but if you ask them for something and they say they would do it, you better get it in writing or they will never deliver or deny they even promised that. The management is in charge of who they let in on the property, not the owner. When you see all the ingrates and disrespectful walking/driving around, that is all the management.
