Both Great and Bad

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2003
I lived at the Lofts for 3 years. And despite the fact the compliants I have read here are pretty much all true I still enjoyed my time there. Yes, the lake is a mudhole, the train runs often and is loud and I never got used to it. The grounds are full of dog crap and the place is loud. The walls do have insulation in them ( my niehbor had an accident and made a hole in the wall and we could see the insulation ) but if I had not seen it I would not have believed it. I would not recommend the place to anyone with a family either.
On the other hand, I met tons of people there. The atmosphere is much different than most apartment complexes and people are a lot more open with each other. This is probably the thing that I liked the most. Managment changed several times during my 3 years and yes some were horrible but others were very good. I have seen the same thing at other complexes.
You do live right next to what the Newnan police consider the worst street in Newnan. But I never had a problem. In fact I seldom locked my apartment or car doors. Also, you live just a couple of blocks from downtown. I can't say it the most exciting downtown in the world but there are several resturants and Cafe Blu has bands on the weekends.
After 3 years I did feel it was time to move on. Living in an old cotten mill is really cool for the first year or two but eventually you will start to miss carpet and you will tire of the constant dust that builds up. But still I have to say I enjoyed my time there more than at any other apartment complex I have lived in.
