2007. Do not think you're getting a great value for your buck here. It seems that way at first, but it's all a big facade. They will treat you nicely when you come in, they will show you the model apt in the front bldg, they will tell you about all of the "amenities"...but you will find that it's a different story once you actually live there. We had so many maintenance problems (not the fault of the current maintenance staff, Dec 2007 - just the fault of awful apts). But the worst is how awful the management personnel has been to us. You would think that they would want to take care of so-called "valued residents" who pay on time every month. But that's a big NO. They are always a hassle to deal with. You have to leave multiple messages and always have to call back to check on the status of things. And they'll either tell you "whew, today has just been crazy around here" (heard it many times) as an excuse for why your request was not taken care of, or they'll act like you're crazy, like you've never left a message before and they know nothing about it - they have no problem being incompetant and un-professional while denying knowledge of problems and shifting the blame for things. It is crazy that they run the place. Rent elsewhere if you have to rent an apt, or better yet, look into renting a house or even buying one - there are LOTS of programs out there where you can put no money down - some banks even offer to pay to break your lease at your apt to get you to buy a house. It's so worth it not to have to deal with people like the ones at Park Manor.
Review, 2005. The new apt manager is a nice, talkative lady, but she is not able to handle all she has on her plate. Ultimately, another office person is needed to respond to residents' calls, inquiries, needs, etc. Thankfully there is a brand new maintenance person (after 4 have been fired), who knows what he's doing. I used to have to call over and over to check on the status of a maintenance request. The apts are nice, and at a fair price, in a safe, well-lit place, but when things need attention, for maintenance or otherwise, just know that if you live here, you'll be frustrated at some point. Overall, these apts are better than any others within this price range in the area that I found. It's just that when you expect service and professionalism and then are bombarded with what you would consider inadequate response, it's annoying. But, if you know all of this coming into it, maybe it's not so bad.
