Preston Mill

 

We moved into Preston Mill back in mid summer.

Since then the following things have bothered us about this complex:

1) Latch key kids whose parents aren't there to watch them after school, but worse yet, the staff doesn't reprimand for dangerous horseplay around the pool, playing ball in the parking lot (driving area portion).

2) Terrible maintenance service.

Had several items on our move-in inspection sheet that still haven't been addressed.

Management is interested in "quick fixes" but never really address the real problems.

Maintenance manager has an attitude problem and has been known to lie to managment and the residents about being busy with "emergencies" when he should have been fixing other things.

3) Parking is a joke - not enough parking spaces but even worse they don't enforce the loading zone and handicap space violations.

We agree also that the "safety officer" is a joke - isn't even on the property 70% of the time.

Must be nice to get half your rent off and not have to do hardly anything.

4) One particular member of the office staff is extremely phony and won't address the issues, but rather will tell you something nice to your face to make you happy for the time being but really has no intentions of doing anything to help you.

More worried about meeting leasing quota, I suppose.

5) Security gates are a joke.

Back one is open nearly 24/7 and front ones are continuously broken.

Sad when all of this is going on and brand new apartments are being built in Newnan that have better amenitites (newer facilities, obviously), almost same size apartments (just a hair smaller) and gorgeous layout for only $25 more a month than what we pay here.

Will we be renewing our lease' Don't think so.
