We have lived in Preston mills for 1 year now. Even though we are moving out to be closer to work, we will miss our apartment. The apartment and grounds are really nice and the staff has always been super friendly. There are of course some problems. The stuff about the latchkey kids is true, they are always roaming around the grounds. (although I have never seen any fires) The security gates are always broken and even if they weren't the back gate is open. There are dogs so if you hate animals this isn't the place for you but the poop problem is not taht bad unless you are the poor person who lives under the "poop deck" which i am not. The last 3 months we have had a big problem with noise and parking but that is the fault of one aprtment where about 15 drunken frat boys live and take up all the parking because they don't have jobs. the curtesy officer has responded every time we have called to complain within 15 minutes and they have actually moved their parties out to one of the garages. Overall the only problems we have had in a year are with one unfortunate set of residents. Before tyhey moved in we never had a problem. the apartments are great and I would still reccomend them, but I would make sure of who your neighbors are if you dislike noise.
