I think it is unfortunate about the bad review with regards to the vandalism. Some of the vandalism occurred around the unit I am in, and fortunately I was not effected by it. However, I also feel that if all the residents would be responsible enough not to allow people to tailgate them into the community then maybe it would have curbed some of the vandalism. On many occassions I have had people attempt to tailgate me in, but I take enough time so as not to allow them entrance behind me. Also, when a resident is going in I wait until the gate either begins to close or lower and then swipe my key card for re-opening. I am not in such a big hurry that I do not have time to prevent others from coming in behind me or to give someone else the impression that I am trying to tailgate. I do not know why others pay to live in a gated community, but I know why I did. I have never had any problems with the staff. They have always been curteous and responsive. I have neighbors above me and occassionally I can hear them moving around, but yet again...it is an apartment and it was the same when I lived in a two level home. I think most problems are from irresponsible residents...ie allowing tailgating or trying to tailgate, not picking up after their pets, etc. I have a pet and it is my responsibility as a pet owner to clean up after it. If you are a responsible resident you will enjoy this community. I think the negative issues mostly come from those residents that are not courteous of others and are irresponsible...the staff addresses it and it is not what these people want to hear.

I certainly disagree. I live in the unit that had the vandalism and I can say for fact that management did not start to do anything until the end of December. Did you know that the first hit on our cars were done in October? It took two months before managment did anything about it. Also I don't think you have completely looked at our apartment complex, but the complex is not gated all the way around. One could easily get into the complex without driving in. So before you start blaming the residents that live there for being irresponsible, get your facts straight. I will also have you know that the vandalism took place at rare hours of the morning. You can tell that by how much time it took those people to write ten long messages on the garages and five to six more on the unit while people were asleep! I can say that if the shoe was on the other foot you too would be upset.

Your post about letting people tailgate behind of you is hillarious - What a bunch of BS, it sounds to me like you and I live in a different community as the gate is ALWAYS open. Gated community my @ss. By the way who puts all their ammenities (pool, gym, laundry, etc) in front of the gate. The gate is useless and as stated before always open.
