Pretty Bad

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004
When we first moved to Ashley Lakes it was great for the price. It was just a bit over $600 which, for what we got, was reasonable in the Atlanta area. Two years later and at close to $700 we decided it was time to buy a house.....right in the nick of time. I witnessed two teenage kids throw a rock at a car in the parking lot one night. The people that moved in on the levels below us STUNK of marijuana every time they opened their door. There were more than one occasion where I had to call the police due to fist fights in the breezeway below us at 1 am. The lake was dirty, littered with bottles and garbage in and around it. They had geese, which was ok I guess, but they defocated all over the sidewalk making it a dodge game when walking to your vehicle. Parking your vehicle was sometimes hard as well, due to the limited amount of space. When we first moved in it was quiet. Two years later, it was like watching Boyz N the Hood with all the bass thumpin, thug looking riff raff that hung out in the breezeways well past 11-12pm. Even the children were loud and destructive. There were a few letters sent out from management about the children being extremely loud at the bus stop in the morning, running in the streets etc. You could literally see the quality of the tenants do a downward spiral before your very eyes. With the quality of the apartments though, I guess that's all they could find. Our apartment had SO many problems and the maintenance was sometimes prompt, but other times just completely ignored until I made repeated requests. The management was very courteous though and seemed to be doing their jobs to the best of their ability. Overall I would NOT recommend this apartment complex to anyone I know.
