I was thinking of moving into these apartments on a short-term basis until my dreadful experience with the unprofessional office staff. I understand that this is NOT a luxury apartment community but at least have a friendly, knowledgeable staff. I guess the saying is true you get what you pay for. These apartments are indeed cheap and what they fail to tell you prior to signing a lease is about their allocated water billing system, your bill is basically divided by all the tenants in each building and NOT individually metered. So don't expect to be paying for you're water use you're also paying for your neighbors as well. The only internet provider and cable company you can have are a local company called DirecPath. No Comcast, no Dish Network, no DirecTV. However I was told that if I wanted to install Dish or DirecTV I would have to pay the community a $100 installation fee and another upon my move out. Also don't expect your deposit back. After finding all of this out I requested my deposit back and I was refused it. They kept giving me the run around as to why I could not get my money back after only 3 days. In a nutshell save yourself the headache, I can only imagine the problems I would have incurred if I actually moved into this community. Avoid this community like the plague there are several other nice communities in the area with helpful office staff who value its tenants.

Absolutely correct! I am a current tenant here and will be moving out soon. The experience has been terrible. The maintenance runs at their own pace as well. Once they came to fix my AC [which I took off of work to be there, I have serious trust issues and won't allow them in unless I am there] The AC appeared to be fixed, he didn't say anything to me about it other than 'Bye'. A few days later I entered my apartment and noticed some things had been moved around.. I could tell someone had been in my unit. I called the office and they told me that the work order was not completed and they still had to fix it. I do not like the fact that they entered my apartment without my knowledge and had I not called them they would have never told me. This was also one of their speedier service times.. Recently, my AC went out again.. some simple part that maintenance could easily take from a vacant unit and put in mine temporarily.. but he suggests to order a new part instead, tells me it will be in 2 days and it will be fixed then. 5 days go by.. Not a word from maintenance.. we call the office and no one answers.. I finally had to catch them in the office and they acted like they didn't care.. You know 90 degrees in your house for more than half of the day is not an emergency.. I cannot believe that. Especially, when maintenance could of got a spare part from another unit. 5 days with out AC..and I pay to live here.. Oh, and the 2 situations were only about a month or 2 apart.. Every 3 months the unit will have an issue even in the winter. They are so old and need to be replaced. Last year's electric bill was more than $200 because the AC is not energy efficient. I complained to the office something may be wrong with the unit and they said it was my fault for not having it just set to 72. [When I had it at 72 the current temp would read near 80 sometimes higher than 80] Now, this year in April 2009 we decided when the AC went out we would just wait until we had a day off to call them. But the weather was so nice we just had 3 fans on almost 24 hours a day.. We didn't use the AC at all.. and our bill was $12!!! I am not lying!! The rent seems cheap at first but once you pay water, sewer, & garbage which is added to your rent you wind up paying about $775 on average for a 2/2 unit.. Plus, gas, electric, cable, and phone. So at then end of the day you spend about $1000 easily. The cable really sucks! I was never told about a deposit for the Dish network.. but it didn't matter anyways because I'm in a location where there is no reception for it. Can't get a dish so my only choice is Direct Path, and they are terrible.

Glad to see I wasn't alone. They treat prospect and current tentants like crap. As if we're not the ones paying them our hard earned money. Good customer service gpes along way. I am so glad I didn't move here.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting these comments! You saved my life. I would have been bankrupt or thrown out if I had moved in there and had such high utility bills. I have never heard of an apt. charging for water and sewage!
