Keep On Looking...

It is July, 2003...and I am currently living in these apartments...so, the "review" is very up-to-date. The size of the apartments is fantastic! The location lacks a little to be desired unless you like the Jimmy Carter Blvd. area. I have found that the only way to get a maintenance issued properly addressed (not some temporary "quick fix" that will require the same attention within 1-2 months time is to contact the leasing office and let them know that if they can?t fix the problem CORRECTLY, that you will be forced to contact the corporation that OWNS the property. That seems to get them moving more quickly. I had some serious issues with their maintenance staff entering my apartment for unscheduled "maintenance" and they rarely will leave a slip reporting that they were inside your apartment and the reason for their visit. My main issue with maintenance was their entering my apartment for a routine "annual" check of the pipes/AC/water heater/etc. When I came home from work....I found candy wrappers (they had helped themselves to the dish on my coffee table) strewn on the living room floor, dining room floor, kitchen counters and in the kitchen sink. They had no cause to even be in the dining room! That was a MAJOR issue for me...and I filed a formal complaint with the leasing office. I demanded to always be present anytime a maintenance individual was inside my apartment. That "agreement" lasted about 2 months. I haven?t had trouble with roaches like some others have reported...but, I had horrific problems with ants. And, the leasing office didn?t seem to want to take care of the problem (they were in every single room..and it was beyond imagination) until I asked for the number for the coproration that owns the property..and contacted them. Then, they sent someone out to take care of the problem. I have also encountered the problem that they don?t seem to screen their "future" residents very well. There have been several incidents with "new neighbors" moving in that just aren?t suitable to be living near ANYONE. The noise levels are incredible! You can?t get much sleep when that?s going on outside. The courtesy officers they have on duty may, or may not, respond to calls for assistance. The police won?t always show up (well, they will when someone is threatening to kill someone else {go figure}). If you currently live in the apartment complex --- don?t bother with the phone calls (not much gets done over those)....go down to the leasing office and take the time to fill out a FORMAL complaint form. I found out that?s the only way they can confront the individual(s). And, lastly....my car was broken into last week (I?m almost 100% positive it was the last batch of troublemakers who had been living in the building next to mine --- and who have now been evicted). They didn?t take anything as there was nothing of value in the car. The police wouldn?t respond (because nothing was taken and no damage was done to my car). The leasing office expressed VERY MINOR concern over this and wouldn?t even send out a notice about the incident to let other residents know so that they could take extra precautions (the complex I lived in prior to Four Seasons would ALWAYS send out notices to alert of any situations -- and I can only remember 2 during the 3 years I lived at the other location). Sooooo.....my recommendation for Four Seasons is this: Great place if you like a good amount of square-footage....not a steep rental rate....you don?t mind noise and VERY inconsiderate neighbors...you don?t keep ANY valuables in your car....and you can handle maintenance issues not being addressed properly without a little pressure of contacting the owning corporation.
