I am a purchaser of the newly renovated condos (Villas at Norcross) and immediately I knew the area wasn't good. For those that are saying this place is a slum and it's a ghetto...why did you move here' You can tell right off it's not an upscale high living place if that's what you're looking for. I don't think the intentions of the new owner is to have a luxurious living but to have an affordable and decent place to live for those that don't have an extensive income. The place has been satisfactorily renovated i.e. new stainless steel appliances, new tile, new plumbing, new paint, new carpet, new cabinets and washer and dryer is included. Priced at $85,500 for a 1 bedroom with 997 sq ft. I searched for other properties in that price range and searches returned a few results for places unlivable. So the asking price is right on. The place is nice on the inside, decent on the outside, convenient to 285 and 85. The only downfall is the area, it's not at it's best but it's gradually getting better due to the security outside at night and the constant patrol of the police in the area. I say give the place a year or two and it will be on track. In the future, I believe the other complex in the middle will also be renovated and converted into condos. The only recommendation I have is before you buy be sure to check for leaks in the kitchen, bathroom and laundry, watch for ants and make sure that you dont miss anything at the walk through. NO MATTER WHAT! Keep in mind that this is also an older complex so understand that not everything will be perfect. Good luck to those interested buyers!
