Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2007
Run. Do not rent here. I pitty the man who does. I don't know where to start. I went to the complex at about june 2, 2007. I saw an add in the apartment mag that said something like 940 sq ft for $615 a month. And the first two months are FREE! so of course i went to check it out, they are practically giving those apartments away. but later i find out why. when i went in the office, there was this fast talking hispanic lady who quickly offered me a 1 bedroom for the special price. My lease was not up until july 30th but she talked me into putting a down payment of 615 dollars to hold my apartment until july because it was in such high demand. yeah right! All during the two month waiting period, I asked to see my apartment which they said was being renovated. They repeatedly told me no. They told me which apartment it was, but they wouldn't let me inside. So to make a long story short, after 1 month, about 2 days shy of my moving date, I finally demanded that they let me in to see this place. And when they did, it was a rotten smell through out the entire apartment. dingy looking CARPET on the KITCHEN floor! Gross! but here's the scariest part- i went to the corner of the bedroom and I noticed the carpet was a bit separated from the wall, i pressed my hand on the carpet and water rose out of it. IT WAS A SLAB LEAK!!! in other words, there was a large hole in my bedroom floor, where water was seeping through. Thank GOD it rained the night before, or I would have never noticed it, and probrably would have signed the lease. All they had to say was "Sorry about that." if you can prorate the apartment your currently in for another 15 days, then we can get you another one." I was paying like $730 a month at my present apt. prorating for 15 days would be like 6 or 700 more dollars. I had put the notice of evacuation in at my present complex. Ordered my Uhaul, the whole 9. I was left without a place to go! My complex allowed me to resign another lease for 10 months on account of good standing. Thank goodness.
Then to top it off. The four seasons only gave me back 415 of my dollars, claiming 200 of it was non refundable! HA HA HA can you believe that @$%#'' I threatened them right there on the spot that I would get legal assistance! and without a struggle, they promptly went back and got my other 200 dollar money order and gave it to me. It's almost like they were trying me or something. I was shocked. I am still shocked to this day and that was like 5 months ago. Screw the four seasons, instead here's four REASONS not to go anywhere near this disaster. 1)EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF(except for the hispanic lady, even though she was full of s%$#, she was actually quite nice. I realized she just had to make a buck at the end of the day like we all do.) 2.) CRIMED OUT NEIGHBORHOOD. 3.) CARPETED KITCHEN FLOORS. (need i say more') 4.)FLOODING APARTMENTS due to maintenance neglect.
I've told you everything I know and experienced, you be the judge.
