After I grad. from college, I moved to this community. The complex did not have a special at that time, so I was paying 610 a month for a 1bdrom. In the latter part of the year, I wanted to upgrade to a 2br and the staff was TERRIBLE. The leasing agent was not very helpful, it took a whole MONTH to get an approval, that is crazy, when I had been a resident for 2yrs, and made the income. Also, the lea. agt (which changed 3xs in 2 years) spoke strng spanish/weak english, and could be very rude. The apt manager- Vinie can be so rude and makes you feel like your comments and money are not worth the time of her day. So needless to say, I had to move to another complex, b/c it took so long to get approved. It ended for me to call her boss and they had to refund me my app. fee for such poor service. Bring ant spray if you decide to move into that community. The first 2 weeks I was there, ants were coming in the apt. by the hundreds. It was terrible, so it took 2 consec. weeks of extermination. Also, the worst occured during August-October of my lease. There were these incredible fat, black leaches or some type of creepy bugs that started coming out of my ceiling and at the bottom of my floor, where the cracks meet the carpet. Let me tell you, I must have killed 50 of those bugs. It was not good at all. I had to kill those things with hair spray, shoes, a broom or whatever. Next thing, the apt above me had a water problem, my coat closet was soaked and had started mildewing horribly. So my apt. mgr and her non chalant self, had someone to come in 2 days and dry up all the water, and clean the mildew off the carpet. Then you know the area below your sink, where you can put your pots and pans, SUNK ALL THE WAY in. It was crazy, all my pots in a hole. Then the shoddy maint. man came and put a piece of plyboard over the area and tacked it down. Then my commode constantly got stopped. I lived in a 1b/1ba. Then maint. man got there within 3 hours, that is CRAZY. And then we had a BLIND possumm on the property, that thing almost caused me not to go to work b/c it was right by my car. I called AControl and they could not help, so I chased down a lawnskeeper and he "CAPTURED" the possumm with a garbage bag. I do NOT know what happened after that. Also, the complex next door, COPPER MILL always had police there. I think drugs were coming out of there. Shortly before I moved, some thugs moved above me and my neighbor, and I told the APT. mgr and she said... oh oh okay. I hated smelling weed. What made me livid was that, druggies had started parking in my parking space for 5 min, long enough to run upstairs and purchase some drugs, and then leave. NOOOOOT A GOOD PLACE TO INVEST YOUR MONEY. The only good thing is that they have a wonderful jacuzzi, and a pretty clean pool. Other than that, there is no playground area. Also, the kids had started tumbling down the hill as a form of play. It was terrible. They had started ringing my door bell. One day, I chased their little tails and told them they better NOT EVER touch my door bell again. MY advice DO NOT INVEST. GO somewhere else.
