The management w/ in OakWood Vista takes your money and keeps it in theire pockets.
I never received any reminders from Oakwood Vista stating my lease was coming to an end, Oakwood tried to charge me the market rent of $850 and addl fees totaling $1000 for one extra mth beyond my schedule end of lease date. Stating that I did not give a 60 day notice. I was only 3 days behind, my notive was given 57 days before my move out....Well I was not going to be penalized for 3 days, I went to office and spoke my claim for some days, until they got tired of me and allowed me to move out on my initial lease term. But once again Oakwood insisted on taking extra money from my pockets, I delivered by keys on my move out date was told by the leasing office that I would received my deposit w/in 30 days, so I waited 30 days to received my deposit,guess what,no deposit received as of yet, so I called Oakwood,(remember I called Oakwood) Oakwood stated that in my bedroom they was a stain on the rug, that could not be removed and they placed brand new carpets throught out the entire apt costing my deposit of $500, sorry to be frank but thats bull. I personally clean the apt myself, nothing exceeded wear and tear, and if they was a stain in the bedroom, then change the rug in bedroom not the entie apt,, and then also the cost $500 to replace the rug the exact amount of my deposit. When i voice my opinion to Oakwood their only response is I should of done a walkthrough, when I deliveered my keys on my move out date they stated to me that everything is fine good bye, never received a call concerning the walkthrough that they had performed, or the status of my deposit until I took the time to call them.....

since 2000 I have been renting apartment, what I have encountered w/ Oakwood is the by far the worst experience that I ever had, the staff don't know anything but lie and steal your money, I'm going to contact their corporate office and report the leasing agents because it not right, the leasing agents are shady.

my advice is don't waste your money renting from oakwood vista don't be fooled like I did, they are snakes in the grass, and to those who are currently leasing there, deliver your notice 90 days b4 if possible and take pic before u leave because its going to be your word angainst theirs, I lost $500 hard earn dollars, I pray, once again pray you don't experience my dilema.
