Water woes

Well, after living here for a couple years I have seen my water/sewer bill go from about $24 to now over $44. I wish my paycheck grew at that percentage rate. Oakwood switched to a new billing provider a year-ish ago, Sierra Utilities out of Austin, TX, and I immediately saw an increase of about $6-7. Now, as of 2009, they have gone to allocated billing which has now increased the bill another $10-14, with no excess water usage taking place on my part.
Sorry, but I personally have never bought into the allocated billing system. I strive to conserve water for our environment and my pocket book. Now, I will no longer benefit from my practices, monetarily. Given the opportunity I would never choose a residence using this method.
Just wanted to let anyone know that is considering this complex. If this is an issue you are concerned with, check into it before you sign the lease. If it doesn't bother you, then it's still not a bad place to live. Sound proofing isn't the best, and people love to park in the handicap spots or take up two spaces, but guess they think they are more deserving.
