I have been a resident here @ The Ridge @Crescent Cove for almost 2 years. I made the decision when moving here that when I left it was going to be into my own home and that is happening this summer! The first year was okay the neighborhood is nice and peaceful and the grounds are usually pretty clean and kept up. The trash does seem to over flow alot especially over the weekend it can be a real eye sore! I am a quite tenant that does not complain alot. I keep my apartment clean and look at it as me having a temporary home until I purchase my own home this summer.
(1)Usually whenever I call in for repairs I either have to make several calls or trips to office or when the issue was suppose to be fixed It did not last long, garbage disposal, tolite over flowing, leaking sinks broke again or started leaking again... (to me not a big deal--the team just sucked)we do have a new maintaince team...had leaky sink fixed several weeks ago and its doing fine.
(2)I had one issue with management when I went to drop off my rent check one morning before work and saw the leasing office had burned down! So I couldnt leave rent. They said it was late--and were going to charge me late fees. I refused to pay any late fee told them they would have to take me to court because I knew I was not at fault due to thier building burnt down and I wasnt going to leave my check in a burned down building. They took me to court. I told my story and was allowed to pay my rent minus the late fees! So after that I had a bad taste in my mouth towards that management team. Not long after that the entire management staff was replaced.
(3)NOW THE MOST SERIOUS CURRENT ISSUE IS
****** BUILDING 28 HAS AN ISSUE WITH RATS*******
I would make sure this problem was taken care of prior to moving into this building.
I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY ISSUE WITH ANY OTHER INSECT OTHER THAN THE ANTS THAT TRY AND ENVADE EVERY SUMMER. Two weeks ago my daughter and son both went into the laundry room to get something and they saw a RAT run across the floor from behind dryer and into a hole in the ground where the pipes run from the basement all the way up to 3rd floor. When I went out to work I stuffed the hole with plastic bags/the next morning the plastic bags had been pushed out of the hole. So I went and got a card board box cut it into a couple of pieces to fit around the hole in the floor and stapled it to the floor with a heavy duty stapler. Everyday I go in the laundry room to check to make sure the boards are in place. After that I found out that everyone in this building is having the same issue. Although I believe I stopped anymore from coming in Sometimes I hear scratching in the walls. I never saw the nasty thing which is why I havent broken my lease as of yet. But if we had went thru what some of my neighbors had I would have been gone! They had SEVERAL in thier apartments and the rodents were not confined to only the laundry room... They had to put out Rat traps and caught SEVERAL in the traps and maintance refused to come out and remove the traps! So far five of my neighbors have moved including two that just moved out today. I know the Rats are not any one persons fault we have woods and a swamp behind our building and thats where they are coming from most likely. But there should be something more done for the safety of the residents....RATS ARE BIG, NASTY AND THEY BITE!!!

I just moved from Ridge at cresent Cove. Luckily I only had a 6 month lease. The rats were the final straw for me. When I turned in my key I told the employees in the office they should have dealt with the rat issue and all they said was that they were aware of it. In fact, I heard about the rats from another tenant that was moving out. Luckily I never saw one either. If I had I hate to think about the fuss I would have made!

Wait, is this writer mexican? I didn't read that or get any impressions that was so......if it is true then the staff who comment on here to boost it's ratings really slipped up on this one. They would be the only ones to know who has complained about this in building 28 and what they look like.

GREAT!!!! We just moved here from Cleveland, Ohio and thought that we would just stay here a year and then move to something better... and then I found this website!!!! OMG, I saw mouse droppings on my furnace and I freaked out, now to think it may be rats???? I live in building 2800 and I will be visiting the leasing office tomorrow for the 10th time about the droppings. Can anyone give me advice on who to turn to to break the lease and get our security deposit back? Tammy
