I have lived in this complex for about 5 years, but considering how quickly the complex has gone downhill, I have decided to part ways. The units themselves are fairly nice. They are much newer than other apartments in the vacinity. Location is fairly good, with a grocery store, gas station, and pharmacy literally right around the corner. Unfortunately, that's where it ends. As previous reviewers have noted, the management of the complex has gone down hill immensely. Their latest game is for you to come home from work and find a note on your door saying they are inspecting your apartment the next day. This happens every couple of months, yet they never tell you why or what they are inspecting, just that it's "required" or mandatory.

I also had a serious problem with roaches that suddenly cropped up last year. It took management two months to actually deal with the issue.

Lastly, it seems that crime has become more of an issue over the last year.

I TOTALLY disagree with what you are saying. I have lived here for 4 years and it has been just fine. I also managed apartments for a few years, and I have to say from an experienced stand point, the staff has done an excellent job. Management never has to even give you a written notice when they are going to enter your apartment, they just do out of courteousy. Read your lease, its in there!!!! And I know for a fact the last time they had to enter was because of a last minute walk they were told about by the company that was selling the property to the new management. They weren't trying to be rude, they just didn't know until the last minute. Crime an issue? Haha, NO! There have only been two car break ins since I have lived here, and I have to say, for apts, that is pretty good!!! I think people should put themselves in other peoples shoes and get all of the facts before they start making assumptions.... RIVER PARK IS GREAT. Anyone that says different is just an annoyed persont that didn't get their way.

This is really BAD management and WORST maintainance people I have EVER seen. They SERIOUSLY LACK 1) Willingness to do work 2) skills for the job c) Honesty.

5 years ago this may have been a better place, but relative to what is out there now in the same price range this place is pretty nice. The only notices I get on my door are either informative, or relative to me. Would you rather not be notified about things pertaining to you? As far as roaches, I live on the top floor, so I can't speak to the ground level, but I rarely see any sort of bug that I didn't let in by having my patio door open. I think the place is great!
