Living at Silverleaf was ok, and I say that hesitantly. The price was good (I had a 1 bdr.), but you get what you pay for. The grounds were kept ok, but my boyfriend (now husband) had his car broken into twice, and despite the so-called night security that was in place, the management did nothing, although I reported both incidents and called the police. The security gates never worked. I suspected a drug dealer stayed around the corner from me. The laundry room is the WORST (I just went to the laundromat down the street). The tennis courts are cool, but the night lights only work on one court. The pool is ok, but the hot tub doesn't heat up. The playground is bare and something is wrong with the basketball hoop and the swings. Maintenance was slow to respond to some requests. Management was generally nice during my stay there, although the turnover of the staff was high. My biggest issue' Trying to move out and get my security deposit back. Bottom line -- you NEED to call their property management company (First Communities Management in Atlanta, NOT Flagship in Texas like they try to claim) and complain to Silverleaf's overseer. I moved out March 31st, it is now June 15th and I STILL haven't gotten my money back. Not a happy camper.
