No matter how early of a move-out notice you give, or how great the condition you leave the apartment in, expect troubles getting your deposit back.
My move-out sheet was perfect and I gave a 61-day notice.
However, instead of receiving my full deposit back, I received a large bill saying I didnt give a 60-day notice and owed them.
I had proof that I turned in my notice on time, but Ive been arguing with them for weeks trying to get my deposit.
Also, dont expect quality service from the corporate office when you ask for your money back.
They wont return their calls, and then give you the run-around when you tell them they made a mistake.
I already filed a complaint on the Better Business Bureau website, but since they havent responded to 3 of the last 5 complaints, I dont expect mine to be any different.
I guess well be going to court if I dont receive my check soon.
