Like so many other of my neighbors, my apartment wasn't ready when I moved in. I was suppose to move in on 14Feb04. First they told me I would have a 1bdrm w/fireplace and sunroom, then it was changed to 1bdrm w/washer and dryer. They dropped the rent and I was satisfied. Then I get ready to move in, and my smaller, cheaper apartment wasn't ready. It took them 2 weeks to get my place together. They never did a walk thru, I was just handed the keys and told which it apartment it was. When I got there, I was shocked, it was dirty, their were furniture indentations in the carpet, animal hair in the frige, freezer, laundry room and kitchen countertops, there was even a roll of tissue paper still on the roller. I was so upset. I fussed and cussed and they promised me that everything would be ok. Ha! That was the biggest lie EVER. Because of my work schedule, I travel alot, and I'm hardly at the apartment, so when it came down to paying rent, I would pay 2-3 weeks ahead of time, just in case I was traveling when rent was due. Big mistake. These idiots assumed I had a balance and that I was making payments on it. So in June, I got a notice stating that I didn' pay my June rent and I owed them a balance of $492.00. Dazed and confused I went to talk to the "management" and I showed them all of my check copies and bank statements to prove I payed my rent up to July. Come to find out, on my original least they had me moved in on my original move date of 14Feb04, but I didn't move in until the 29Feb04. The then manager Claudia had changned my lease and all was suppose to be good, but the new manager Myra, had the original lease, so she assumed when I paid my rent early, I was paying off pro rated rent. I was so pissed off, she apoligized and corrected my account. I thought all was well, then last night, when I got home, I had another notice on my door. This time, they were stating that I wrote my rent check out in the wrong amount. This morning when I went to talk to her, she was rude and extremely unprofessional. She told me that a Debra Townsend, who's in charge of water, raised my water $10.00 a month. (keep in mind I'm never there) Myra told me that the letter was sent out in June, and it effected my July rent. I told her I never received the letter, and if I did, why didnt they tell me in July when I paid rent. Its ------- August! Then her cell phone rang and she proceeded to have a phone conversation with her son. (R U serious)I ask her for Debra's phone and email address. Myra gave me the right number, but the wrong email address, then to top it off, I told her about my still uncleaned carpet, and she promised me that if I called her and scheduled a time to have the carpets cleaned, she would get someone out there. Well folks, I tried to call her this afternoon, and a little old lady answered and told me that I had the wrong number. This place looks so good in the magazines and everyone seems so nice, but I wouldn't recommend this place to an enemy. It's just that bad. Please don't torture yourself, don't move here. I can't wait to move.
