Ya know... I was about to write this whole big story on how we got the shaft. But no one wants to read all that stuff. I mean it's been a years worth of headaches. When we moved in the whole complex was nice. Then new people started coming in, (because the managment staff are money hungry and just want to get bodies in the place)The quality of people coming in were not the most upstanding siticins.
A man was stabbed in front of our aparment then came knocking on our door bleeding all over the place looking for help. But we could barely understand him since he was drunk and didn't speak English. The police translated for us and said He said "he didn't even live there, but the gates were open so he just came in to party."
Then about a month later, we were all out on the balcony just relaxing one night and we hear gun shots in the complex. (remember I am from NY, I know what gun shots sound like) when management was called to see what happen they (as usual) lied and said that someone was using a BB gun to get a bird off another balcony. (In the middle of the night''') Again I was not born yesterday and I know the difference between a BB gun and a full fledged hand gun.
If we could have left the complex early we would have but with a lease you know that you are locked in. So we just tried to keep to our selves and keep quiet. We would loose power and not be compensated. We would put in maintence calls that would never get responded to. The emergence line didn't work for months and they never even knew. (These people just don't care about their business let alone their people) The garbage is always overflowing. And there are Rats the size of house cats. If you live in an apartment with two toilets and one is stopped up do not expect them to come and fix it right away no matter what. In our home we had two pregnant woman. One of the toilets was clogged, and filled with fecises. Now I know that it's gross and icky. But it's most of all not sanitary. Escecially for women who are carring children. This was explained to the management, yet the kept saying that this is not an emergency since there are two bathrooms in the house and just to use the other one. I think the health department would think other wise. Maybe we should give them a call'
Don't forget about the buggs!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now that we are leaving they are making it even more difficult to leave. Losing our move in walk through sheet and missing documents and trying to charge us for stuff that we didn't do and/or stuff that we have already payed for. Keep your eyes open with these people. They are shafty. And are always trying to be slick.
I hope this has helped people who are thinking of moving here. Please keep looking there are other places in better neighborhoods that you can go to. I know it's hard but keep looking. Just stay away from all the Wesley apartments. They are all like this. Good Luck
