I signed an application/paid fees/deposit for a unit with upgrades after mid-May, 2004. I signed a lease for the unit on either June 19th, with a July 13th lease date. At this time, I mentioned to the leasing agent that I had tried to hook up phone service, utilities, etc. in my name but was unable to do so as there had been no cancel orders issued from the unit I had leased. She said she would check into it. I tried again on July 6th to order phone and utitility services, but was again unable to do so as cancellations for services had not yet been made. I phoned the leasing agent immediately, as it was 7 days until my lease was to begin, and she said to have the electric company, etc. call the office to confirm with her and that she would take care of it, etc. I found this answer to be unacceptable. With further probing and phone calls, she finally revealed that the tentant would not be moving out after all!!! At what point were they going to inform me' THis was SEVEN DAYS before my lease was to begin!!!!How was this possible in the first place' I drove 85 miles from my current residence to investigate and resolve. The only alternatives they offered were apartments of lesser size and/or fewer (downgraded)ammenities....or lesser apartments available 6 weeks later. UNACCEPTABLE!!! I found another complex to rent from and demanded my money back from this property...which, they agreed to...however, this was not a satisfactory solution. They clearly do not maintain proper records, communication, or customer service. I can not imagine what else would have gone wrong if I had moved there. I have never heard of such unprofessional, gross, unethical behavior!

As of 2006, the staff is still unprofessional and the present manager is a joke. One thing is for certain, Amli must not be paying employees well, the staff here just goes through the motions by showing up for work.
