AMLI at Kedron Village

The apartments and town homes are incredibly over priced if you check around in the area or have the time. Maintenance staff is lazy and non responsive unless you keep demanding. We had to use auxilary heat the entire winter months because the maintenance supervisor does not know his *#@ from a hole in the ground. Because of his under skills and lack of knowledge, our heating bill was $300 every month. He suggested we turn the thermostat down to avoid high heating costs! The community manager avoided us, never returned our telephone calls, and told other residents that we were a pain to deal with! GMAB! All we wanted was working heat.....not auxilary heat which is very expensive and costly. We have moved out, but a few of the people we met while living there tell us the problem still exists and it has developed in other units. I think this malfunction with the heating system could possibly cause a fire, although, I am not an expert on heating/air and neither is the maintanance supervisor, Joey.
During the summer the swimming pool is so nasty we were afraid to get in the water. People let their kids stay all day, even babies in diapers which are not changed and these small children are in the pool! No thanks....I've heard about the e coli.
One poster wrote about the cars cruising after midnight...that is true. Big dark tinted windows with the car stero system booming drive through all hours of the night. There is a rail road track running next to the complex and it is LOUD...never got use to being awaken all hours of the night. People tried to getout of their contract, but Amli held their feet to the fire. Now there is a clause in the rental agreement about the train. The staff has been trained to play it down and state the train comes through just a few times, in the day! Crock. The train roars and blows its whistle all hours of the night and day!
Other than these few items, Amli at Kedron was just ok, for a short time, for a strong person!

I was just transferred tot he area and moved in two months ago. I wish I had known about this site, could have saved me the trouble of constantly dealing with the manager here and the maintenance staff. I think we must have moved in your old place! We are experiencing the same problem with the heating unit. Last month's heating bill was 250.00 which is almost considered robbery. The train is so close that we couldthrow an apple and hit the train as it passes by. There was a slight mention of the train when we looked at the place, of course it was played down. We are so thankful we will be here only four more months if we can toughen up and bear it.
