New Management a Joke

Apart from the previoulsy listed complaints listed by other tenants below (all of which are totally valid), Balmoral Village is now under new management.
Purchased by Waterton Investments a little over a month ago, a company that specializes in buying what they refer to on their website as "B" rated apartment communities"
The new management has come in and decided that they are not bound by the laws of the State of Georgia. Without notice they raised my rent $120.00. I tried informing the property manager that this is illegal and that Georgia Law requires no less than 30 days notice of the increase.
The new Property Manager informed me that she is not bound by the old leases (not true under Georgia Law) and that if she wanted to spend the time she could inform all of the tenants that their leases were no longer valid.
I paid the increase to avoid late fees and have sent the matter to the Dept. of Consumer Affairs, The Georgia State Attorney Generals Office, and the Better Business Bureau. Sad that it has to come to that.
Now I come home to find an "Addendum" on my door, backdated several days, for me sign saying that I agree to the increase. Not going to sign it, but typical of the type of tactics used by the new management here.
This is no longer a community, it is nothing more than a money making venture for a investment company based out of Chicago.
I don't have a problem taking these matters up with the Authorities, but is sad to think about how many of the people in this community (many elderly, working families, etc.) will bow to strong arm tactics by new Management for fear of losing their place to live
