I am another of the first to lease an apartment at the Porterdale Mill Lofts and I love it here! The rents are reasonable, the views tremendous and the atmosphere unlike any you'll find elsewhere.
The lofts will not appeal to those who are used to having a big yard or other suburban amenities. But it certainly will appeal to those who are tired of lawn maintenance, fixing roofs, buying new furnaces and air conditioners.
My unit looks over the beautiful Yellow River and shoals and I enjoy the dam and waterfall that looks like a postcard. The soothing sounds of water pouring over an eight-foot tall, 300-foot wide dam is a great sleep amenity!
I have interesting neighbors and when the project goes condominium in four-years, I plan to purchase my unit. It will be a great investment as there are not many true lofts available in metro-Atlanta.
The management staff are hard-working and professional, communicating with residents on all matters of interest. They maintain the grounds exceptionally well and the same goes for the interior. Outdoor decks overlooking the river, complete with grills, courtesy carts to help you move groceries from the indoor parking garage to your unit give all the comforts of home.
If you have enjoyed urban living in great cities, as I have, this will appeal to you. My experience at the Loftsf is 100 per cent positive. I still get the response, "Oh, you LIVE at the Porterdale Lofts"' whenever I tell people. They're always impressed!
