I would recommend to anyone moving into the Riverdale area not to choose Belmont Crossing Apartments. I choose this apartment complex because the apartments were so cute, and decently priced. Later I learned that they are also poorly managed and maintained. I ended living with squirrels and raccons in my attic and breaking my lease after only 4 months of animal noises over my head. The apartment still had the audacity to charge me a break lease fee, despite the fact that I came to them numberous times trying to get the issue resolved. We ended up going to court, I won.... and am still awaiting the money which I am owed (the court date was almost 60 days ago). So.... realistcally they are cute apartments, and I'm sure at some point they were really great to live in, but now they are just a dismal excuse for medocrity and not worth the stress or the hassel that can come about from living there. Do yourself a favor and keep looking.

Dear Gina142, Belmont Crossing Apartment Homes is a community that is very wooded. When you have trees, you have squirrels. The squirrels tend to come through the flashings of the rooftops. Although you were having an issue with squirrels, it is a process to trap squirrels. A process that doesn't happen overnight. We paid a trapping company to do it's job and they did just that. They did trap all the squirrels and sealed the entrance holes. We are glad to report to you that the current resident residing in that unit hasn't had any issues.

I really have a hard time fathoming that you would post an excuse filled rebuttal to a tenant that put up with pests above her head for four months, took you to court, and then won? Squirrels happen, I understand that. But to tell a tenant that waited four months for relief that trapping squirrels doesn't happen overnight is a gross underestimation of their patience. To also throw in her face that the current resident hasn't had any issues - although badly concealed as a complement to your job well done - after it took a court order on her part to find relief is just silly. I honestly can't find a better word than silly. I know this was last year of 2008, but after reading the continual postings by the Belmont Management staff throughout the following year I cannot bring myself to visit your office. This pains me as of only three days ago I contacted your office about pricing and planned on visiting tomorrow. Unfortunately, the Belmont Management staff is either too young, under-worked in their profession, or just simple minded to see that posting defaming responses to tenants is not helping their business strategy. J.H.
