I would recommend these apartments, only if you're just starting out. I live in Phase II of Chateau Forest. The price is affordable for someone with limited income; however, if you can afford to look elsewhere, then do so. You may have to put up with loud and noisy neighbors, with people coming in all times of the night. Loud music, and lots of children. Needless to say, this property allows Section 8, so that comes with it share of problems within itself. Maintence is also another BIG BIG BIG issue in these apartments. My theory is that since the property contains three phases, that they share a crew of maintence people. During the winter, my heater went out, and they told me that it was not considered an emergency for a crew to come out after-hours because the temperature was above 30 degrees. Who's to say whats cold, or not cold, especially in the middle of winter!! You also may have to watch out for guys going and taking a whizz behind the fenced in dumpster in your section. The only good thing about living in these apartments is that you're not obligated to a long term lease. The lease is from month-to-month, so if you're young, strapped for cash, and need a spot for about 30 days...go for it. If not......STAY AWAY!!!!!!
