If you have no other choice stay here, but only for a temporary fix. I lived in Phase III of Chateau Forest. The price is affordable for someone with limited income; however, if you can afford to look elsewhere, then do so. You may have to put up with loud and noisy neighbors playing music at all hours of the night. I had a stranger banging on my door at 2am as well as everyone else’s on my row for about an hour, I had to end up calling the police. Since the police and fire station are right across from the complex you have to deal with the constant sirens all day and night.
My apartment was also INFESTED with roaches. I had so many when I moved in that they should have been paying rent. The wood paneling doesn’t help with the roach problem and it took maintenance 2 months to finally come out and spray. Maintenance is also another BIG BIG BIG issue in these apartments. The only good thing about living in these apartments is that you're not obligated to a long term lease. The lease is from month-to-month, so if you're young, strapped for cash, and need a spot for about 30 days...go for it. If not......STAY AWAY!!!!!!
