Ashland Park Apts now has the best staff and the nicest apts in Floyd County GA. The ceilings are nine feet high in all rooms. There is a patio or balcony for every apt, a large living room with a ceiling fan, dining room with tract lighting, galley kitchen, a food pantry in the kitchen, garbage disposal, dishwasher, electric stove, frost-free refrigerator with ice maker, water heater, laundry room for your own washer and dryer, and total electric central heat and air conditioning, underground utilities, internet, phone, and cable tv connections in all apts, the floors are tiled in the kitchen, laundry room, foyer, and bathrooms, and carpeted in the other rooms. The grounds are kept very clean and well manicured, and neighbors are usually very quiet and clean. Each tenant is supposed to keep their own breezeway entrance area clean. You can rent a garage for extra money if you want one. The one bedroom apts have one full bath. The two and three bedroom apts have two full baths. There is also a business center in the office with a computer, printer, fax machine, and copier available for qualified adult tenants to use, a postal mailbox area, a car wash area, a call box, a key card gated entrance, a maintenance shop, a pristine fenced-in, gated swimming pool, a free gym for adult tenants to use, a playground, a half-mile gated and fenced-in circular road encompassing all the apt buildings within the complex, and a tenant's laundromat on site. Parking is free, and there are plenty of parking spaces outside every apt building and all parking areas are well lit with street lights.

The current manager is a wonderful Christian lady who is very friendly, professional, and helpful, and so is the current maintenance staff. Service is provided promptly when anything needs to be repaired and you call to report any problem. Filters are replaced upon asking for them. Pesticide protection is offered free when needed by asking for it. I don't think this current staff could be any better than they are. This large complex was built in 2003, and several original tenants still live here. It's surrounded by mountains and has a gorgeous, natural view. It is a large, fenced in, gated complex. There is only one trash compactor on the grounds located at the entrance at the bottom of the hill. All garbage bags are to be placed inside the compactor and pushed down the chute into the dumpster. The complex is up on top of a large hill in Rome. There are three nice churches right here at the apt complex with very friendly people in them. Ashland Park Community is excellent in every way if you are a clean, quiet person or family and want good neighbors who respect your rights to privacy, peace, and quiet. The interior walls are a sandalwood color with ceilings the same color and cream doors and trim. All rooms are spacious. There are lots of cabinets, countertops, and drawers in the kitchen area. There is a walk-in closet in each bedroom, a linen closet, and hallway closet.

The Rome Braves Stadium is only 2 miles away and there is an excellent view of their occasional fireworks displays during baseball season. Rome City Schools are one mile away on the Veteran's Parkway. The Ashland Park Apts in Rome, GA are located at the intersection of the Veteran's Parkway and Highway 53, just northeast of Rome behind Calvary Baptist Church up on the hill. To get to the Ashland Park Apt Community, if you face Calvary Baptist Church on Highway 53, just to the right of the church there is a road called Broadus Road. Turn onto Broadus Road and go up between the other two churches, Rome Baptist Temple and the First Assembly of God. Turn left just past the First Assembly of God to go up Ashland Park Blvd. NE to the apt complex. The main rental office is the first building on top of the hill. Shopping is several miles away in all directions. A private Christian School, Unity Christian School is just across the road on Highway 53. There are two Walmart Super Centers located about seven miles in either direction from the complex in East Rome on Highway 411 and West Rome on Shorter Avenue, and a Kmart, Kroger, and Home Depot are located about 4 miles near downtown Rome on Turner-McCall Blvd. Dollar General and Family Dollar stores and convenience stores with gas pumps are within two miles or so of the complex on North Broad Street and the Veteran's Parkway/Old Calhoun Road. Small dogs are allowed if your doctor gives you a note saying you need one as a companion, but they must be cleaned up after and kept on a leash when outside with no fleas indoors. There are both income qualifications and restrictions to live here because it is a tax credit property. New leases are signed each year, and tenants must be recertified every year they live here. Criminal and credit checks are done on potential tenants. Security police live on site, and the city police patrol the area regularly as well. Power bills usually run higher here than at most other apts because of the high ceilings in all rooms. Ashland Park has its own water/sewer company so you pay them each month along with your rent. Georgia Power is the electric company. Comcast is the cable tv/Broadband company. ATT is the phone/DSL company. Most of the new people who move in here now are very nice, clean, and quiet and respectful of their neighbors' rights. The troublemakers have moved to whom other reviewers were referring. There is a nightime curfew for all children, including teenagers, to be inside their apts by dark. It's not a bad idea for adults to be inside their apt after dark either. You are safe inside your apt if you don't roam around after dark. Breezeways are not meant to ride bikes, racers, or skateboards through nor be played in or hollered in by anyone. There are plenty of sidewalks everywhere. I highly recommend this complex to anyone who wants a beautiful apt to live in but lives on a limited income. It is excellent for senior citizens or adults who need peace, quiet, security, and cleanliness. Families also live here. It is very beautiful indoors and outdoors. Just remember that in any apt complex. walls and floors do not stop all noises, so you will know all your neighbors intimately, whether you want to or not. Houses are always going to be much quieter than apts. I thank God that Ledic Corporation manages such a nice place for us to live in the city of Rome GA.

I agree Ashland Park Apts is a blessing for people who have to live on low incomes. It is a nice community for older people and adults who have to live on Social Security checks.
