I have lived in this complex since late 2001. It has gone progressively down hill. What a shame!

In 2001, when I moved in with my 3 year old this was a quiet place, a little old, but the apartments were huge. The surrounding neighborhood is wonderful, beautiful and safe. Then kids started loitering. My neighbor's cat got mauled by loose dogs. More than one apt has pit bulls, and one keeps their pit bull on the balcony. Another renter keeps their pet tied outside all day, even in the rain, where it cries then they whack it when it barks. They have arressted people in a prostitution ring. Someone got shot less than three months ago in the building next to mine. A buidling burned down last year and is still only a foundation. My boyfriend has noticed some locals with concealed weapons when he drives in. Our other neighbor sets of her car alarm every time she unlocks the car (day, night, morning). People park so close to your car, sideways whatever, that you can't open the driver's door. My car has been scratched intentionally by a key. Kids will sit on your car. And the noise level at night is anything but acceptable. A month ago I complained because some teenagers had a party for 8 hours in the apartment under me. My now 6 year old couldn't even hear her cartoons. When I called they said they couldn't do anything until after hours. There are animals in the crawlspace above me and they reek. They want to cut holes in my interior wall to get them out. The hole in an outside wall has not been repaired in 3 months. ...this is only what I can think of off the top of my head!

And next year they want to raise my rent by $100. Ridiculous. It is a real shame to think of how nice this place was - but it's not anymore. I am getting out in two months and I can't wait. Save your time and money. Stay away.
